Park is well maintained. You can find many shaded areas in the park which makes it a perfect spot for picnic or BBQ parties.
Very peaceful park located close to 101, Morgan Hill, CA. About 30 minutes away from San Jose given the traffic is less. The dam gives way to an awesome sight, although the level of water in the reservoir was less today. Lovely green pastures to hike and spend the day.
The dam is closed until 2030 so can only see part of this park. You can also drive via Holiday Dr to see the other end of this park and see the dam/lake and city view. River is beautiful and calming. Many people doing BBQ. Great place for …
So nice to just head a few minutes down the road and hit some trails and put your feet in the water! Weekends are packed with people so keep that in mind. There is more parking spots for trucks and trailers then just cars. So may have to park in the lower lot and hike up...water and good shoes is that's the case.
Its a pretty nice park. On the lower park area's they have picnic tables, bbq's, restrooms, a creek running through it. Nice combination of shade and sun in the park area. Good place to walk dogs or stop and have lunch.
A must visit place if you just want to hangout for the day or for an evening stroll. You can walk across the creek using the bridge or just enjoy an evening brunch with benches on both the sides of the creek. If the park is open you can even visit the Anderson Lake.
Beautiful park and setting. No entry fee currently due to Covid. My only gripe is the amount of trash in and around the trails. If I were local to the area I would have brought a few trash bags, we picked up as much as we could. Please take care of our green spaces.
The biggest lake in Santa Clara County. Fishing, boating, hiking are good. You can ride your bike from the dam to San Jose. It's sad to see all the open land behind the damn taken away by houses.
Great place for a short hike, take dogs and even kids. Lots of life if you're silent
With all the rain the water is very strong at the moment and we headed out here today to hit some of the trails but it looked like the majority of the park was gated up due to the fallen trees.
